The Cape Town Montessori School is dedicated to the global Montessori philosophy and offers a stimulating learning environment that is child-centred, culturally diverse and relaxed; where young children are nurtured and encouraged to be environmentally conscious, independent thinkers. We believe that our school provides a lifetime’s investment in the children’s life skills. Parents are encouraged to continue the Montessori approach at home.
TODDLERS
Age 18 months-3years
Toddlers are the original explorers, absorbing information from their environment and using it to create themselves. They thirst for experiences and gather information through their senses. Montessori is all about offering real, meaningful tasks for children that they want to accomplish. The focus in the class is to ensure the child's first school experience is a happy, nurturing and safe one.
PRE-SCHOOL
Age 3-6years
Stepping Stones' Pre-school program is designed to meet the developmental needs of your child. It is our school’s profound belief that the child’s work is internal and is motivated by a sense of self worth and self-confidence gained through “learning by doing”.
The child is given individual lessons and is invited to choose activities that interest them.
ELEMENTARY (PRIMARY)
Age 6-12years
The Montessori Elementary is a program that grows out of respect for the mind of a rapidly developing child.
The child is in a new plane of development – a time of insatiable curiosity and excitement for learning.

The carefully developed elementary curriculum guides the child through identifying, classifying, and researching all of the fascinating concepts in each chosen field of study.
